{Recipe} Baked Ziti

This one is total yum. A hit!!!!! A complete keeper!!!! Had to add it to the list.

  • 1 lb. dry ziti pasta
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 2 jars spaghetti sauce
  • 6 oz. provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1.5 C sour cream/plain greek yogurt
  • 6 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 Tbsp. parmesan cheese, grated

  1. Bring a large pot of slightly salted water to a boil. Add ziti pasta and cook until al dente, about 7 minutes; drain.
  2. In a large skillet, brown onion and ground beef over medium heat. Add spaghetti sauce and let simmer 15 mins.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter/Spray a 9×13″ baking dish. Layer as follows: 1/2 of the ziti pasta, 1/2 of the sauce {i stirred these 2 around}, Provolone cheese, sour cream/greek yogurt, remaining ziti pasta, mozzarella cheese and remaining sauce, top with parmesan cheese.
  4. Bake for 30 mins or until cheese is melted.

We had ours with garlic toast and it was BOMB. The noodles were perfect and not mushy and it was just as good reheated. A total win!!!!!! Enjoy!!!!
