sum sum summertime.

It is way too nice of a day to sit in the office over my lunch hour today, so I grabbed a notebook & pen and came to the park! Sure, I will have to type this up later but it is very much worth it. After having icky weather, this 75 degree day is just what the doctor ordered!!! My Vitamin D deficiency is getting fed, finally! So as I sit here soaking up the rays I get to thinking about the beautiful weather and what summer will bring for us this year. If you know me at all, you would know that I love to have fun stuff on my calendar, and I like to plan. I like to have things to look forward to, I need that forward momentum. Summer weekends are like gold and they seem to be filling up quite quickly. I love it! We have 3 cabin trips planned, 1 camping trip, 1 wedding, and a possible mini road trip lined up. Here’s my official 2013 Summer Bucket List!!

  1. I need to start working on our summer bucket list this year. I keep wanting to get out and DO something but more than likely it’s too hot during the day (ugh NC humidity) but Sae ends school in 3 weeks so I have to figure some fun things to do this summer (both inside and out)

  2. What a fun bucket list! I did one last year and was so happy I did! This year, we have so many not-fun items to check off our list that I am skipping a bucket list in favor of trying to live in the moment, when we can.

  3. Love your list. What is “gun stuff”, hahahah. And hope B catches that fish!!!! Big plans for summer are celebrating J’s 3rd birthday, having our baby girl (oh my goodness!), and that’s prolly all we got :).

  4. i love your bucket list. i too want to plant a garden. well more like just plant something, haha. i too want to go to the zoo and might take ryu this year for his birthday πŸ™‚ i definitely want to do something like this on my blog and hopefully i can keep up with it.

    You are the opposite of me. I don’t like having a plan. I like to fly by the seat of my pants, but this year I am laying it out to avoid too much time with the kids laying around the house plugged into electronics. We have soccer camps, sports camps, little mini trips and lots of little parties here and there on the horizon. I would love some good concerts too, but after a series of disappointments I will be choosing wisely. πŸ™‚

    By the way, if you want to get in shape really quickly without massive diet changes, doing 3-4 power walks per week for a half hour will snap your body back quicker than you’d think. They have to be fast enough your heart if fluttering a bit, but it is usually therapeutic to say the least. Always remember, something is better than nothing. πŸ™‚ xo
