Korean Beef {with Ground Beef}

INGREDIENTS:
-1 lb. Lean ground beef
-1/2 C brown sugar
-1/4 C soy sauce
-1 Tbsp. Sesame oil
-3 cloves garlic, minced
-1/2 tsp. Fresh ginger, minced
-a little over half of 1 / 2 tsp. Crushed red pepper flakes
-salt & pepper
-1 bunch green onions, diced
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown hamburger with garlic in the sesame oil.
2. Drain most of the fat and add brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, salt and pepper and red pepper flakes.
3. Simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.
4. Serve over steamed rice and top with green onions.
We really enjoyed this dish!!! I thought it might be strange with the hamburger instead of steak, but it was perfectly fine. Daddy P said it was absolutely ‘a keeper’!!!! Very easy and quick, too!!! I mixed white and brown rice and it was great!
